Please give additional activity details (i.e., reach, impact, duration, return on investment) A member of Cochrane Balearic Islands contributed to an international methodological initiative of the GRADE Working Group focused on the development of GRADErater (GRADE Rating Automation Through Enhanced Reasoning), an automated tool designed to support the assessment of certainty of evidence. The article describes the principles and methods underpinning the development of the tool, including compliance with current GRADE guidance, transparency, human oversight, rule-based automation, usability and continuous improvement. The approach uses explicit decision rules to support GRADE assessments in pairwise and network meta-analyses while retaining human oversight of automated judgments. The first version of GRADErater is undergoing methodological and user-interface evaluation, with plans for subsequent integration with GRADEpro. The work was published in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology in 2026.
