Ciència a Tot Tren is a major science‑outreach initiative in the Balearic Islands that brings together public research institutions to engage citizens through an immersive and interactive format. The activity combines a journey on the historic wooden Sóller train with a programme of scientific microlectures delivered by researchers from across the region. During the 2026 edition, approximately 300 participants took part in the event, which featured onboard thematic talks as well as guided visits to the Botanical Garden and the Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences. This unique format aims to make scientific research more approachable, fostering direct interaction between researchers and the public in an accessible, inspiring, and culturally meaningful setting.
Ignacio Ricci delivered the microlecture “Cochrane and Critical Thinking: How to Know Whether Health Information Is Trustworthy,” which focused on strengthening participants’ skills in critically appraising health claims and understanding the principles of evidence‑based information. His contribution highlighted the importance of reliable evidence in everyday health decision‑making and showcased the role of Cochrane in promoting trustworthy knowledge. This activity significantly enhanced Cochrane’s local visibility, reinforced community engagement, supported scientific literacy among the general population, and aligned closely with Cochrane’s knowledge‑translation objectives.
